Did you know there is a dark side to ‘having it all’?
And it looks like burnout.
Only it has become so common that we think it is normal. We have been sold an insidious, manipulative lie.
We’ve been told that we CAN have it all and that we should want to.
This is why most of us go about our lives diligently, striving to be successful, to have a thriving career, a healthy fit body, lots of friends, a deep sensual relationship, a happy family with 2.3 kids, a veggie patch, exotic holidays, and to be able to bake a roast dinner and hot apple pie to share with friends and family every Sunday.
This Lie has kept us living in breadth instead of depth. Spreading ourselves so thin that we are truly exhausted and overwhelmed.
The truth is that the depth gives us a sense of wellness, life, and connection. So why the lie? Is it because a woman who knows the true depth of life is dangerous? Is it because a woman who knows her true depth is more likely to say no? Or is it because we surrendered to a capitalist way of living in an attempt to fill the deep void with external validation?
Whatever the reason, if you resonate with this as I do, then you probably hear the beckoning to stop this crazy rollercoaster because there must be a better way.
And there is! I urge you to follow that call, it can be scary, a little dark and lonely at first but it is where you will finally find real life.
And you don’t have to do it alone.  Many have chosen this path before, and so many more are now.
