The Art of the Apothecary
A lifelong practice
Beyond my professional work in psychotherapy, I am a practitioner of traditional herbalism. M
y fascination with the healing power of plants has been a constant thread in my life for over twenty years.I believe that the best solutions are often grown, not manufactured. I maintain a working medicinal garden where I study the life cycles of plants and transform them into potent, handmade medicines.
Although I am currently a “budding” professional in terms of formal accreditation, my decades of self-study and practical experience have allowed me to support my community and clients with natural, plant-based recommendations. This lifelong dedication to botanical wisdom allows me to bring a unique, “nature-first” perspective to everything I do.
My fascination with the healing power of plants has been the quiet, constant thread of my life for over twenty years. For me, herbalism is not just a study—it is a way of living in relationship with the world around me.
A Life on the Land
Living on the banks of the Birrarung, I am deeply influenced by the rhythm of the seasons and the unique energy of the Australian landscape. This connection to the land is where my practice begins. In my medicinal garden, I cultivate, observe, and harvest the plants that eventually become the foundations of my work.
Heritage & Craft
I believe that the most potent solutions are grown with intention. My journey has been one of “boots on the ground” experience:
• Decades of Autodidactic Study: Twenty years of rigorous research into botanical constituents, traditional folk medicine, and the chemistry of plants.
• Small-Batch Formulation: I maintain a private apothecary where I transform my harvests into handmade tinctures, teas, and topical salves.
• Practical Wisdom: While I am currently a “budding” professional formalizing my accreditation, I have spent years sharing these remedies and my knowledge with family, friends, and clients, helping them integrate plant-based support into their daily lives.
This lifelong dedication to botanical wisdom allows me to bring a unique, “nature-first” perspective to everything I do—bridging the gap between the raw power of the earth and the modern need for holistic wellbeing.
